Celebrate books with statewide read-in on Tuesday

GREENFIELD — The Greenfield Public Library invites guests to grab a book and head to the library to participate in a statewide read-in called “Let Freedom Read” on Tuesday, Oct. 3.

The Friends of the Greenfield Public Library will offer snacks. Staff will also prepare a selection of their favorite books from the past year to help inspire readers.

Digital participation is also welcome. Download an ebook or audiobook through CWMARS, Libby or Hoopla, and use #LetFreedomReadMA to post pictures to social media.

Drop-in youth knitting group to meet Friday

GREENFIELD — The Greenfield Public Library will host its ongoing knitting group for ages 8 to 12 on Friday, Oct. 6, from 2 to 4:30 p.m.
