Texas Woman’s University has just had two consecutive years of its largest freshman classes. Rising enrollments and rising off-campus housing costs have more Pioneers wanting to live on campus throughout their schooling, a university housing leader said.
“We are full,” said Jill Eckardt, TWU executive director of housing and dining. “We’re still at 99% working capacity. And so the challenge is that we have students who want to live on campus but are not required to live on campus. And in Denton, off-campus housing is becoming more and more expensive every single day, in large part, even though any number of new apartments are going up.
