The Idaho Art Lab in St. Anthony is here to stay.
The non-profit lab has come up with a down payment for a loan to buy the building it is currently in, located at 2355 S. Yellowstone Highway. The lab has raised $70,444 by June 16 and needed $70,000 to make a down payment to buy the building.
“We’re still in shock,” said Kara Hidalgo, Idaho Art Lab co-founder and executive director. “It maybe has not sunk in yet.”
In May, the lab started its “Forever Home” capital fundraising campaign, only having until the end of the month to raise $350,000 to buy the building. The plan changed after the lab reached $50,000 by May 31, which bought time for all the lab’s stakeholders to gather and be guarantors for a loan…
