Hunterdon Central Board of Education Adopts Budget After Restoring Library Media Specialist Position

FLEMINGTON, NJ – After an outpouring of support for high school library media specialist Jessica Emili, and pleas to not put the position up for “a reduction in force” for next school year, Hunterdon Central Regional High School will be keeping her job for the 2021-2022 school year after a last-minute change was made.

With dozens of parents and students sitting masked at desks for the board of education’s meeting Monday, business administrator Gymlyn Corbin presented the proposed $74,153,293 budget and details of the municipal tax levy for 2021-2022 across the five sending municipalities of the district, Raritan Township, Flemington Borough, Readington Township, East Amwell Township and Delaware Township.
