A financial company, Alpha Morgan Capital, has re-modeled the University of Lagos (UNILAG) Main Library Lobby and Makerspace. The restructuring project is the first time the university library will be remodelled in 58 years.
Speaking at the occasion, the Group Managing Director, Alpha Morgan, Ade Buriamo, said the library is the heartbeat of the university, noting that the standard of the university is dependent on the strength of the library.
According to him, a formal Vice Chancellor of the University of Lagos, Professor Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, was the one that inspired the project during the remodeling of Prof. Adetokunbo Sofoluwe Park.
He said the formal VC told him the university library has been on over 58 years and needs remodeling.
“Ogundipe ask me if I can do it and I responded to him that, yes I will do it. And now we are here today to commission the project.”
