Dallas County Community Foundation Awarded Allocation of $52,000 From Grow Greene County | Raccoon Valley Radio

The Grow Greene County Gaming Corporation recently announced grant recipients for 2023 and  Dallas County Community Foundation was a part of the cycle. 

GGCGC is the gaming license holder of Wild Rose Casino and Resort in Jefferson, and as part of an agreement with the State of Iowa, they allocate five-percent of the casino’s adjusted gross revenues to present as local grants. They were able to give out $1.8 million to nearby organizations and entities, and the Dallas County Community Foundation received a portion of that totaling $52,000 to spread to five different county projects. That includes Perry Rotary Club Foundation receiving $20,000 to build their inclusive playground, YMCA of Greater Des Moines awarded $20,000 for their Waukee Family Makerspace, the Raccoon River Pet Rescue collecting $7,000 for their partition fencing and the Adel-DeSoto Fine Arts…
