There is going to be a new way to book your second COVID-19 shot. Owner and pharmacist at Strathmore Value Drug Mart, Gord Morck explained that there will be no need to phone around to multiple pharmacies anymore.
“The government is going to do a centralized booking platform now for all pharmacies in Alberta. Starting on June 21st, people can go online and register for their second shot there.”
The website will show Albertans the pharmacies in their area, what vaccines they have, and what times are available.
“There was a lot of inefficiency in the way things are working currently. People are going to multiple pharmacies and this way, people can only book if they’re eligible and choose which vaccine they may prefer to get at the pharmacy. It does give them more choice.”
