OROVILLE — Two Butte County Library branches have been awarded more than $14 million for facility improvements through the State Library’s Building Forward grant program.
The Oroville branch has been awarded $7.6 million and the Chico branch has been awarded $6.5 million. The grant application was submitted “several months ago” and the libraries were notified of the awarded earlier this month, according to Misty Wright, assistant director/acting director for Butte County libraries.
