The London firm took the wraps off its designs for ID Manchester, a new £1.7 billion ‘innovation district’ for the city, as it launched a formal public consultation at the end of last week (14 July).
The project is a joint venture between the University of Manchester and science and technology property specialists Bruntwood SciTech, working with Manchester City Council.
ID Manchester is set to feature 1,500 new homes and more than 240,000m2 of commercial workspace when complete.
The scheme will see historic buildings including Manchester University’s Sackville Street and Renold buildings repurposed, Vimto Park revitalised and a new civic square created.
