On March 9th, Grade 11 Barons at École secondaire catholique Algonquin presented a cheque for $1,800.00 to the North Bay Regional Health Centre Foundation after raising funds from a sale of products designed and produced at school.
As part of a class project within the Entrepreneurship course during the first semester, eight groups of students each chose a product concept based on an original idea, polled students in grades 7-12 to find out their appeal, calculated the costs associated with producing it as well as its profitability and made a marketing pitch to decide if their product was viable.
