STEAM programs at Ridgewood High School get donation from alumni

RIDGEWOOD — A $635,000 alumni gift – the largest in the district’s history – was announced by the Board of the Education on Monday.

The donation by 1958 graduate Dave Duffield via the Dave & Cheryl Duffield Foundation was designated for high school STEAM programs. 

It was announced by Ridgewood High School Alumni Association President Bill McCabe and Past President Tara Augustine.

Duffield is cofounder and former chairman of PeopleSoft, and cofounder and chairman of Workday, Inc.

“We are extremely grateful for the generous gift from the Dave & Cheryl Duffield Foundation,” said School Superintendent Thomas Gorman. “We are thrilled that the Duffield STEAM Initiative will be a part of his legacy.”
