The National Park College Board of Trustees approved the 2021-22 annual budget during its regular monthly board meeting Wednesday, which includes keeping the tuition rate and mandatory fees flat for the year.
“The only change in the resolution is that we are taking $5 of our student registration fee, and shifting that to a student activity fee,” Kelli Embry, vice president for administration, said during the meeting.
This will allow the college to utilize the money for things such as student government association, Phi Theta Kappa, new student orientations, special student events, athletics, murals and other activities for students, she said.
The finance team outlined broad areas of focus for next year’s budget that directly align with the 2020-2023 strategic plan priorities and goals, Embry said in a news release.
