In a news release following the meeting, details on the interior design were given. The design features a centrally located library with makerspaces. The interior finishes are inspired by the Sam Houston National Forest and the area surrounding the campus, and the forest-themed interior will focus on the school’s blue and gold color scheme.
The one-story building will be equipped for 900 students, according to the release.
Trustee Linda Porten said completing the design was a collaborative effort.
