A local youth-centered organization has received $1,500 from the Food Lion Feeds charitable foundation to help provide snacks and nutrition education for youth in its after school program.
According to a press release by the organization, V2, previously known as Next Generation Youth Development, provides youth focused services for students ages 11 through 17. The organization provides a wide range of experiences for its members as well as emotional and educational support to help the youth be successful at home, in school and in the community.
“At V2, the organization believes in the power of youth and their right to have equal access and opportunities to reach their full potential,” the release said.
