Partnering with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the Inter-American Development Bank, the Itz’at STEAM Academy, backed by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Technology (MoECST), is set to usher in a new era of learning centered around Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM).
Hon. Francis Fonseca, Minister of Education, shared his excitement during a tour of the Academy with the IDB president and the Prime Minister back in September, stating, “The future of education is technology, arts, engineering, STEAM and STEM subjects—critically important. Belize can’t be left behind, so this is just the beginning in terms of these projects.
