FRAMINGHAM — The almost finished new Fuller Middle School offers peeks into its anatomy.
In a makerspace, students can get an up-close look at the boiler room, giving them a real-life chance to learn about how the heating and air conditioning equipment works. Small gaps in the ceiling expose the mechanical systems overhead.
“The kids will be able to see how the inner-workings of the building operate,” said Matteo Batista, a senior project manager with the school’s general contractor, Consigli Construction of Milford.
It’s all in keeping with Fuller’s STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) curriculum.

The school is nearing completion, with about 95% of construction done. This week, construction workers are putting finishing touches on the building, including installing bleachers in the gym and painting rails in the atrium.
