WESTFIELD — The city Youth Commission, led by adult adviser Diana McLean, is planning a forum for School Committee candidates 7-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24, in the banquet hall at Shortstop Bar & Grill, 99 Springfield Road, Westfield. The forum is free and open to the public, with no tickets or reservation required.
McLean said all of the questions at the forum are coming from the youth commissioners. McLean said the idea for the forum came about because the commissioners bring to the table things they see or observe in the schools and with their peers, and talk about what could be improved upon.
“We’ve heard all kinds of things, and tried to make change,” she said.
