Grasslands Public Schools will buy the former county building for $1.
County council approved the sale of the 1975-built facility at their meeting on Thursday.
“We’re very appreciative of county council working with us,” said Rhian Schroeder, Grasslands associate superintendent.
She said she has been meeting with county officials about the building for a month.
The school board office and the old county building are next to each other on Second Avenue.
“The building is staying. We will be doing some renovations in there so it will fit our purpose,” she said.
The county moved out of the building in 2013 and it sat vacant until 2017 when the city started an incubation business program.
