MITCHELL — A new public workshop called “Your Shop,” featuring 3D printers, sewing machines, table saws, lathes and more, will be opening on Mitchell’s Main Street in mid-September.
The shop, owned and operated by Tanya Kitto, will allow shoppers and crafters alike to be able to purchase already-made arts and crafts or make create some of their own.
Describing the shop as more of a “makerspace,” Kitto hopes to create a sense of community by opening the doors to whoever wants to create. She said the idea popped into her head in 2019 after talking to locals who wanted a place to craft, but had nowhere to go.
