WESTLAKE, Ohio — If you can dream it up, you can probably create it at the newly opened Makerspace room at Porter Public Library.
C.J. Lynce, assistant director at the library, oversees all things in the Makerspace, a place where people can come in and get hands-on with equipment and/or software.
It offers a 3D printer, recording sound booth, Cricut Maker, wide vinyl cutter, button maker, printing and heat press, design work station computers and a heavy-duty sewing machine.
Lynce said patrons can make real cookie cutters using the 3D printer. One can also transfer printed designs onto cloth and even on coffee mugs. There is also a button maker, for 10 cents each. Politicians are going to love it.
