United States Military Historical Collection: The 24th annual Veterans Day observance will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Nov. 9-11 at the War Memorial Auditorium, Willmar. Display features more than 7,000 original military items from the Civil War through modern day. More than 500 veterans’ stories are highlighted in the display of uniforms, field gear, medals and more. Minnesota National Guard Col. Daniel O’Meara will be the speaker at the program set for 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11. O’Meara is currently assigned as the director for the Organizational Inspection Program for the Minnesota Joint Force Headquarters. He has served as a staff officer in various roles for the Joint Force Headquarters — Minnesota and 34th Infantry Division Headquarters.
