
For years, the Amarillo Public Library has served as a place for knowledge, letting members of the community access materials and technology through the use of their library cards.
But starting Tuesday, the library is expanding its services, giving users the chance to have access to a brand new service.
On Monday, Amarillo’s public library hosted a grand opening for its Makerspace, located on the second floor of the library’s downtown location, with the space being open to the public starting Tuesday.
According to previous reports from the Amarillo Globe-News, the Makerspace is a facility where individuals can complete art projects, do their own repairs or experiment with starting a business.
