Steele High School in Amherst unveils new makerspace lab

The sounds of machines whirling into action is familiar for two classrooms located near the back of Marion L. Steele High School, 450 Washington Ave. in Amherst.

But, the type of machinery is quite a bit different from the shop classes that formerly took place in the space.

“We are very pleased to welcome you all to our new Steele makerspace classrooms here at the High School,” said Steele High Principal Joe Tellier. “This is a space that will continue to help kids have something in which they use their hands and will promote creativity.”
