MOUNTAIN HOUSE — In an effort to keep up with 21st century learning models, the Lammersville Unified School District is looking to replace all its K-8 computer labs with makerspaces.
The district’s idea of a makerspace is a lab within a school that provides students with tools to promote science, technology, engineering and math learning experiences. These labs would be equipped with 3-D printers, digital video cameras, small programmable robots, coding software, flexible furniture and learning walls to promote creativity, innovation, engineering and teamwork.
