Jacksonville University is building-out a space for its science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics curriculum.
The STEAM Center comprises 14,500 square feet in the Lazzara Health Sciences Center on the Arlington campus at 2800 University Blvd. N.
A building permit application submitted to the city indicates PQH Group is the designer and Stellar is the contractor for the $2 million project.
Studios for design, graphics, illustration and film production also are planned.
Both are based in Jacksonville.
