Dawson School opens new Innovation Center to celebrate 50th anniversary – Colorado Hometown Weekly

To mark the the 50th day of the school year and the school’s 50th anniversary, Dawson School opened its new, three-story Innovation Center on Monday.

“This building really is an indicator of where we’re going educationally,” said Dawson Head of School George Moore. “I’m hoping kids can come here and work on problems that are interesting to them. The idea of this building is it’s going to change and evolve over the next 50 years.”

The Innovation Center includes a makerspace with garage doors that open to the outside on the first floor, a large, flexible space on the second floor, and science classrooms for middle and high school students plus a rooftop deck on the third floor.
