BEREA – The Berea Makerspace hosted an open house on Thursday night where visitors could learn more about the space which is providing an outlet for creators in the county.
The Makerspace has a vast array of equipment and machinery available for members including woodworking, 3D-printing, sewing, welding, papercraft, metalsmithing, blacksmithing, jewelry making, and more, which locals can sign-up to use at their discretion.
Run by its own members and founded in August 2019, the Makerspace is a non-profit organization funded by memberships and donations.
According to the founders, individual monthly subscriptions are $35 a month and family subscriptions (which can include up to four members) are $55 a month. A…
