Ms. Othmer’s 8th grade Art Makerspace class has been hard at work creating works of functional art that will be given to groups and organizations in the WMS and Brewster communities. The goal of each group’s project is to make lasting creations that will benefit those around them.
Students have been working in groups to develop a concept for their creations, reach out to organizations in the county, and plan each stage of the development of their piece. Each project requires collaboration and cooperation within the group in order to reach completion, and students have been honing their communication skills as they reach out to various organizations to pitch and refine their project ideas.
