Orion Art Center and Library Partner for Art Contest Highlighting Mexican Gothic Novel

Lake Orion, MI – The Orion Township Public Library (OTPL), in partnership with the Orion Art Center, is placing a call to artists for its inaugural art contest, The Art of Storytelling.
With hopes of fostering a creative community partnership based in art and literature and promoting the library’s Makerspace, artists of all ages are invited to submit original works inspired by Silvia Moreno-Garcia’s novel Mexican Gothic between December 1, 2022 and December 29, 2022 at 5 PM.
All work submitted must be capable of being displayed in both the OTPL lobby and the Orion Art Center gallery. Additionally, all work must incorporate at least one element created using equipment in the OTPL Makerspace. There is a $30 entry fee, with one entry per artist allowed.
