NEW MILFORD — Patrons will find additional programming and much more space after visiting the newly renovated New Milford Public Library, which reopens this week.
“It’s going to be a true destination point for the downtown,” said Mayor Pete Bass, while giving a tour of the library to Hearst Connecticut Media.
A ribbon cutting to open the library after the $8.5 million project will be held at 10 a.m. on Feb. 18. The library will have special giveaways while supplies last for the grand opening day as well as activities and programming.
New additions
Patrons can unwind with a book in hand in the new outdoor patio area, located near the library’s front entrance.
Local teens can congregate in the two-floor Teen Space, which houses shelves of young adult fiction, puzzles, games…
