Syracuse, NY — The makerspace offers both musical and artistic opportunities for people who want to learn and play. Librarians want the community to feel encouraged to utilize the space at the Central Library.
Saptarshi Lahiri, the Makerspace Librarian said the space is, “Fully equipped studio that has various instruments, it has a mini keyboards, it has digital drums, it has a piano keyboard and we have an I mac which comes with garage band as well as logic pro.”
You can sing, you can rap, you can create beats and even podcast all in a special space.
“We are putting this within reach for most of the community to use as well as training them in how to use them optimally, efficiently, successfully for their own projects.”
Lahiri offers makerspace training every Tuesday and remains around to assist even after you are successful in your new ability.
