The National Merit Scholarship Corp. has announced that Garden City High School senior and recent graduate, Adam Kennington, has earned a National Merit scholarship that is sponsored by colleges and universities. He is being offered the National Merit W. Harold Otto Scholarship. This Scholarship is sponsored by The University of Kansas.
Kennington was named a Semifinalist in the National Merit Scholarship Program for being an academically talented high school student. To become a Finalist, the Semifinalist and his or her high school must submit a detailed scholarship application, in which they provide information about the Semifinalist’s academic record, participation in school and community activities, demonstrated leadership abilities, employment, and honors and awards received.
