CALLING ALL MAKERS! The L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library is bringing back its Maker in Residency Program.

CALLING ALL MAKERS! Do you have what it takes to get the Dabble Box buzzing? The L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library is seeking applicants for its Maker in Residence Program.

Making stuff in a library kind of sounds like a foreign idea, don’t ya think? When you mention libraries, what usually comes to mind is an array of books on tall shelves, quiet time, and studying. However, the L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library is about a lot more than books these days. The library hosts a plethora of events and houses professional art gallery, but its most unique spot is the RCU Dabble Box Makerspace.

The Dabble Box takes the fun part of the school – hands-on creating and curiosity – and brings it to a no-stress environment (no grading!), full of exploration, for people of all ages (8 on up) to enjoy. The space offers equipment ranging from robots and sewing machines to musical…
