Chances are, even if you haven’t read a single one of his books, the name James Patterson rings a bell.
It did for Sharon Feld, a part-time clerk at the Bondurant Community Library. While scrolling through TikTok, a popular video app, she came across a video from a woman commenting on the sheer volume of books Patterson has written in his career as a prolific author of, well, everything.
Feld dueted that video on Halloween, putting her own alongside the original incredulous woman explaining Patterson’s popularity. And it went viral, amassing more than 384,000 likes and 1.5 million views to date.
In the video, Feld follows the instructions of the woman, who goes by the username @summerb4jc on the app. An unseen person moves the camera across the Bondurant Library to the adult fiction, teen fiction and children’s sections, all of which have shelves of Patterson’s books.
