Visitors got to shear sheep, spin fiber, browse wool products and more as the Lake Metroparks Farmpark wrapped up its fourth annual Lamb Jam.
Sunny skies and rising temperatures greeted visitors on May 3, the final day of the weekend-long event. The Kirtland-based park provided them with demonstrations, hands-on activities and free admission for Lake County residents.
Lamb Jam’s draw extended beyond Northeast Ohio. Jason and Alyson Carroll came up from Corning, in the southeastern part of the state, to show goods from their Raven Hooves Farm.
Jason said that the farm first got connected with the Farmpark through the park’s Village Peddler event.
“We’ve been invited back to a lot of different events,” he said. “Sometimes we’re vendors, sometimes I’m helping do teaching demonstrations and stuff with the sheep, just kind of whatever they need.”
