OWATONNA, Minn. (KTTC) – The Owatonna Area Business Development Center (OABDC) announced new initiatives to bolster entrepreneurship and innovation in rural Southeast Minnesota.
The Owatonna Area Ecosystem Accelerator and Makerspace project are both funded in part by a Small Business Assistance Partnership grant from the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED).
The proposed project encompasses five core components:
- Expanded SBDC Consulting Capacity: Providing expanded no-cost, confidential consulting services to entrepreneurs in the Owatonna area.
- Co-Starters Workshops, Bootcamps, and Classes: Offering proven-successful curriculum tailored for entrepreneurs in the Owatonna area.
- Entrepreneurial Networking Events: Establishing monthly networking events for practicing pitches, as well as to foster connections, accountability, and collaboration.
