In February, the Library excitedly welcomed back students, staff, and community members to the newly refurbished building. Likewise, we were thrilled to announce the opening of our purpose-built Makerspace. Also known as Warninyup, the Nyungar word for “place of making/doing”, it provides a space for people to engage in hands-on learning and designing – encouraging creativity across all disciplines.

The Makerspace has been developed to cater to a wide range of interests and skill levels, with a blend of high-tech and low-tech equipment and resources. Our innovative learning environment brings with it additional 3D printers and an adequately ventilated room for activities such as soldering, an extra laser cutter, a sound-proof media room for photography; videography; and podcasting, a long-awaited sink area for cleaning up, and much more.
