EDMONTON—Christmas came early to city’s DIY community, especially those with an affinity for the wood shop.
Just before the holidays, the Edmonton New Technology Society (ENTS), a 24/7 makerspace in the northeast neighbourhood of Montrose, got a collection of woodworking tools offering professional and prospective crafters an edge on future projects.
Richard Fullbrook, president of the non-profit society, detailed the acquisition, which includes a 9-inch jointer, a 20-inch planer, and a 10-inch cabinet saw, all part of a surplus sale from a local school that was upgrading its own equipment.
