November has been a momentous month for the Fontana Unified School District.
• On Nov. 7, the district held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new Innovation Empire, the first project of its kind in the Inland Empire. The Innovation Empire is made up by a two-building complex at 16771 Valley Boulevard that includes a Makerspace and collaborative space that are designed to serve as a hub for students to get hands-on experience and training in machine and design software, robotics, programming and entrepreneurship.
• Then on Nov. 14, a groundbreaking ceremony took place for a new middle school on Casa Grande Avenue in northern Fontana. The school will relieve overcrowding at Wayne Ruble Middle School and will be a state-of-the-art, two-story building…
