Madison-area textile enthusiasts will get a new hub for teaching, learning and buying supplies this Sunday, as the Textile Arts Center of Madison opens its doors at 2436 Pennsylvania Ave.
Founded by two local textile artists in a warehouse behind the former Oscar Mayer plant, the nonprofit will host workshops, curate exhibitions and resell donated art supplies. It’s designed to provide a shared space for area makers, from members of local quilting or weaving guilds to art school graduates who no longer have access to looms.
