The Creative Art Society Meeting: On Tuesday, Oct. 10 at 6:30 p.m. at the Southgate Veterans Memorial Library in the City of Southgate, 14680 Dix-Toledo Highway. Special guest for the evening will be Debbie LaPratt, a potter, who is inspired by Detroit’s history and architecture. The meeting is free. On Oct. 14, at 10:30 a.m., LaPrat will be hosting a ceramic workshop. Cost is $60 ($70 for non members) and includes two meetings and a take home project.
