Updates and improvements are taking place all over the Meinder’s Community Library property at 220 Third Ave. SE in Pipestone thanks to the generous support of the Meinders family.
The most visible improvements so far are the parking lot and patio on the south side of the building. The patio has already been used for programming over the summer. Future plans include adding a pergola on the west side of the patio.
“That will give us a little bit of shade and a nice kind of cozy seating area for people who just want to hangout out there and read and talk and do whatever,” said Library Director Jody Wacker.
Outdoor plans also include some landscaping, green space, gardens, a natural play area for children, and a little free library…
