The third annual “Sana Sana: Health & Healing Walk/Run” is returning to Woodland Community College this month.
Set for Monday, Sept. 18, at the college, 2300 E. Gibson Road, the walk and run is intended to raise awareness and affirm health and healing practices in everyday life, according to organizer Dr. Melissa Moreno, a professor of ethnic studies at the college.
Dr. Shannon Reed, dean of arts and sciences at the college, said that welcoming and acknowledgments start at 10 a.m., with the walk/run itself getting underway at 10:30 a.m. People should meet outside Room 101 at the college, where they sign up and sign a waiver. Flex credit will also be offered to school faculty.
