The Woodland Public Library will hold a library card design contest in honor of its 150-year anniversary in 2024, encouraging residents to enter.
“Help our community kick off the celebration by designing a new commemorative library card,” a city press release stated. “Paintings, photography, abstract art you name it — the library wants to showcase your creativity.”
The contest is open to all Woodland residents and a panel will judge the submissions. The winner will receive a $200 award donated by Friends of the Woodland Public Library.
“We are looking for colorful designs that celebrate the library’s 150th anniversary,” Greta Galindo, director for the library, emphasized.
Submissions are due by Nov. 1, and the winning designs will be unveiled in January….
