WESTON — The town has announced its Democratic and Republican nominees ahead of this year’s election in November.
The top ticket has First Selectwoman Samantha Nestor running for reelection with her new running mate Tony Pesco on the Democratic ticket, facing off against Republicans Stephan Grozinger and his running mate Kerem Dinlenc.
Weston does not have a primary election, so the only election will be on Nov. 7.

Democratic Town Committee Chair Gayle Weinstein said she thinks the Democrats put together a slate of experienced candidates with a mix of newcomers.
Weinstein said Nestor has done an “outstanding job,” such as securing grants for the town and moving the town forward with community events and projects.
