UPDATE: On Aug. 8., St. George voters approved, 161 to 1, in favor of a makerspace building.
The St. George MSU held its election August 8, between the hours of 4 and 8 p.m. at the Town Office in Tenants Harbor on the following article:
Article 1: Do you favor authorizing the Town of St. George to construct and equip a new PreK-8 Career and Technical Education/Makerspace building next to the existing St. George School, which new building will include shop space for metalwork, woodworking, and boat building, a makerspace, and a classroom (the “Project”) at a cost not to exceed $3,500,000, with Project costs 100% funded by donations and grants?
Town of St. George Select Board recommends a YES vote.
