Several local teachers were named recipients of The Community Foundation of West Texas Mini-Grants for Teachers.
The Foundation awarded 23 grants to elementary and secondary teachers across the South Plains. The awards totaled $25,162.61. The money will be used for curriculum enrichment, according to a news release from The Community Foundation of West Texas.
Winners will receive their awards during a ceremony on Aug. 2 at 2 p.m. at the Science Spectrum, 2579 S. Loop 289 in Lubbock.
Teachers received up to $1,500 for classroom projects to enrich their curriculum.
