OMAHA, Neb. (KPTM) – For Jim Clements, Founder of Made new Makerspace, it’s the family oriented activities and hands-on learning that make events, like the one this Sunday, enjoyable to put on for the community.
“[It’s} family friendly, are very kid oriented, and so we wanted to bring some fun for the whole family to the event,” Clements said.
There were a variety of activities that families could participate in.
Ranging 3D printing, laser engraving, and button making- to name just a few.
For Jim’s son, Lucas, it’s the electronics that catch his attention.
“I really enjoy doing the electronic things, because there’s so many possibilities,” Lucas said.
Like his father, Lucas has a passion for tinkering and learning through hands-on activities.
It’s one of the reasons why he spent his Sunday showing other kids why electronic circuits can be a fun learning tool.
