Panaji: The state government on Tuesday granted approval to the project management unit (PMU) responsible for implementing coding and robotics in schools to enter into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with research institutes and industry.
Chief minister Pramod Sawant earlier chaired the 4th meeting of the empowered committee of CARES. The committee has granted approval to the PMU to enter into MoUs with research institutes and industry, such as; BITS Pilani, MSME Tech Dev Center, Avishkar Tech Solutions, Chromatic Infosystems Pvt Ltd, for the cooperation and development.
PMU has been established under the directorate of technical education and directorate of education with an emphasis on computational thinking as envisaged by the national educational policy (NEP), 2020.
