Kids are invited to literally slide into the future in The DoSeum’s latest exhibition, Dream Tomorrow Today.
Open June 10 through Sept. 24, the special exhibit was created in-house by museum staff and offers families the chance to develop STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) skills through interactive challenges, augmented reality and other futuristic-themed activities.
“This all began in 2018 when the rest of the city was looking to the past—we looked to the future,” says Meredith Doby, vice president of exhibits, referring to San Antonio’s tricentennial celebration.
Indeed, a first iteration of Dream Tomorrow Today was on display at the museum in 2018 as part of that celebration. Since it closed, Doby says they’ve continually heard from guests who want to see it return. So, in 2020 during the height of the pandemic, Doby applied for a Museums from…
